An oil portrait of Winx and Happy Clapper at the 2019 Chipping Norton Stakes.
As the ATC Heritage Society describes the race, Happy Clapper came close to stopping Winx’s dream run in the Chipping Norton Stakes (2019). He pushed the champion, leading strongly round the turn, but Winx overcame and with her phenomenal burst of speed claimed her 31st consecutive victory. It was also he 25th consecutive Group 1 race.
