This painting is of a beautiful brown colt that I fell in love with at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale in April 2013. I only knew him as Lot 338 till recently and now know him as Ziza Spirit trained by Tony Noonan.
I don’t often do this however below I have placed an image of my painting (on the left) next to reference photo I took at the sales (on the right). I am extremely happy how the oil paints were able to bring out the sheen and texture of 338’s coat.
338 was purchased by Laurel Oak Bloodstock P/L in Sydney, so I will hopefully see him racing in a little while.
