FINALIST 2014 MOSMAN ART PRIZE
I love a day at the races capturing the excitement and colour of the day. This oil was based on a number of photographs that I took at the Randwick Racecourse in February 2014 showing the sensational Australian trainer Gai Waterhouse with one of my favourite jockeys, Tommy Berry. The painting shows the scene after the team won the 1600m Klink on 3 year old colt Order of the Sun who moved to race in Singapore in 2015.
Is this portrait art or equine art? I think its a bit of both
