It was a fantastic afternoon and night at the Art Gallery on Friday for the announcements of the Sulman, Archibald and Wynne Prizes.

The winners are now all announced with Nigel Milsom has taking out the Sulman Prize for Judo House pt 4 (Golden mud), Tim Storrier won the Archibald Prize for is self-portrait – as an invisible man without a face and Imants Tillers for Waterfall (after Williams) in the Wynne Prize.

This is the first time I have been to an official announcement and the buzz and excitement was just electric – it was so much fun. I was so happy having my work selected as a finalist and am after seeing the quality of all the finalists, it just made it more special for me. I met some very very good artists who all turned out to be very nice genuine people – of course. Thanks for everyone’s thoughts and wishes. I’ll put some more photos of the crowd up as soon as I can.
