Two of my recent pencils, Vancouver and Hallowed Crown.
The drawing of Hallowed Crown is a 117 x 93cm pencil on paper and finalist in the 2015 Blacktown Art Prize. Hallowed Crown is a 4yr old bay colt that was trained by the great Bart Cummings and based on photos I took at Randwick on 7th March after he won the Group 1 1600 metre Girvan Waugh Randwick Guineas with Hugh Bowman on board.
The drawing of Vancouver is a 93 x 50cm pencil on paper and a finalist in the 2015 Hornsby Art Prize. This work is based on photos I also took at Randwick on 7th March after he won the Group 2 Todman Stakes. Vancouver went on to win the Golden Slipper two weeks later.
