So You Think is a New Zealand-bred superstar (but we think he is Australian) winning the 2009 and 2010 Cox Plates within his first 10 race starts. He started as favourite for the 2010 Melbourne Cup but ran beautifully in an exciting race to finish third to Americain and Maluckyday after coming from the outside to lead with just over 100m to the post. He ran fourth in the world’s richest race, the World Cup in Dubai, in March 2012.Thank God that Bart Cummings loved him because he made So You Think a star before he went over to Ireland with Aidan O’Brien. He is now back in Australia at the Coolmore Stud at Jerry Plains.
Helen Thomas has recently published a book titled “The Horse that Bart Built” all about So You Think – a truly champion horse.
