I went to Canterbury Races on the weekend and met some wonderful people and we started talking about the NSW Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Trust near the racecourse and Living Legends in Victoria. We spoke about Apache Cat, it reminded me that I painted him when was at Randwick and had not posted him up on my new website. This painting of Apache Cat is goauche on acid free paper ( 38 x 30 cm (15″ x 12″) unmounted) and is based on photos I took at the stables before the 2009 Group 1 1200m TJ Smith Stakes when he came third to the great Takeover Target.
